A team from Concorde Recruitment raised a whopping £6,618 for LARF in March 2016, by taking part in the Tuff Mudder challenge in Henley on Thames.
The team of ten took part in the famously difficult assault course race, covering 24 obstacles in 13 miles. Tuff Mudder courses are notorious for their evil combinations of obstacles, mud, electricity, water, fire and ice. Strength, stamina and fearlessness are necessary, and team-work will see you through to the end. The team trained hard, although some had to work harder than others to get up to the right level of fitness, and on the day they were fortunate to have glorious weather.
Tom Mason, organising, explained that Concorde Recruitment are a fun-loving bunch, who like to support local charities. Local, because then it means more, somehow, knowing that the money you raised goes to support something close to home. LARF was chosen, as Tom knows Darren Hoare, Lauren’s brother, and has always been aware of the charity, and the work that we do for teens with cancer.
Kudos to the Concorde team of Tom Mason, Maggie Oxenbury, Tom Tallis, Fred Tallis, Joe Tallis, Richard Kelly, Jack Hughes, Paul Rowland, Sandie Rowland and Richard Elwell.
Many thanks to everyone who took part, and all their friends and family members who supported them, and sponsored them.
